LEARNING
Christian schools teach your children to see and do — to see the world through the lens of the Bible and to do God’s work in His world. It’s a great vision and a challenging task. God’s children deserve nothing less!

In Christian schools, students learn that they are uniquely gifted by God to serve Him: “Each one should use what ever gift he has received to serve others” (1 Peter 4:10). Students learn to listen for God’s direction in the use of these gifts. The groundwork is laid for what God will use later in their lives to extend His kingdom.

We send our children to Christian schools for:

• teaching from a Biblical perspective
• strong academics
• caring teachers who communicate with parents
• Bible study and chapels
• positive Christian role models
• nurturing and disciplined climate
• a circle of Christian friends

These are all things found at Battle Creek Christian School, but you can expect more.

SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS
The Bible is the foundation of exploration of God’s world throughout the entire curriculum. BCCS staff members are committed Christians and active in their local churches. One of their goals is to help their students grow spiritually. The teachers strive to know each of their students personally and pray for them daily.

Because all teaching is done from a Christian perspective, our students are continually challenged to make connections between their studies and their relationship to God’s world. Teaching our students to develop a Christian woridview makes Christian education and BCCS unique.

WORSHIP IN SCHOOL
Each classroom begins the day with Bible reading and prayer. Bible study and memorization is part of the curriculum for each grade.

The spiritual theme for the year is presented in the weekly chapel services in which all students actively participate. Special celebrations are held for important Christian events such as Christmas and Easter.

Junior high students are involved in Praise Team, and they regularly prepare drama and music for use at chapel.

SCHOOL CLIMATE
The guide for student behavior at BCCS comes from the Bible. We encourage our staff, students, and families to show love and respect for each other and to reflect Christ-like behavior and attitudes.
Community service projects are included in the experience of students at all grade levels.
